Once again, I've been missing from the blogging scene this week. SO many emotional events have happened this weekend, I feel so worn out. I've been taking to the bed and watching many, many bad movies. One word: MEN. Screw them all. Screw them. ALL.

......But I will get to that later: I went on my annual roadtrip with all my friends to Port Maquarie last week. As always, it was such good fun. However something happened to us for the first time in our 7 years of roadtrips. We were flooded in. We drove straight through a mini cyclone to get to our house. And a couple of hours after we arrived, we experienced a blackout that freaked the hell out of all of us. With candles lit and no TV  dying phones and the howling winds in the background killing our buzz.. we decided to do what we knew best: DRINK.
We set up a game of Beer Pong that lasted for hours. We found our laughter and our buzz again. That set the tone for the rest of the roadtrip - as we stay indoors due to floods, we kept playing more drinking games until we were blind. We cooked good food all day (fish and chips, burgers, steaks, pancakes, bacon and eggs), played board games and had deep and meaningful conversations.
One rare day, we had a few hours of sunshine and we were able to take advantage of our pool. We played pool volleyball and drank beer. I was lucky enough to bust out my new favourite swimwear from Australian brand, Jets Swimwear. It has a cute 50's pin-up look to it (halter neck design, tie front and sweet). I can see from these photos that I am forming a small beer gut, but I'm trying to see it is a good sign, a good sign that I indeed had fun on my roadtrip.
