A casual Natalie today - a simple tee, jeans and sneakers. It's not uncommon for me to be spotted in an outfit like this but I don't often get the time to blog about it. I picked this tee from Femme Luxe because my favourite colour is purple and I'm into tie-dyed these days so it was nice to grab a coffee feeling fresh.

I've been reading your comments from my last post, and I'm so happy to read encouraging words and an understanding of where I was coming from. It's comforting to know that my questions were relatable and that it can be feelings shared by all of us. For some context, in my last post I asked myself if I was vain, or if I was prioritising self-care/self-love. The Blogging community is so thoughtful, so I'm thanking you all <3

This past weekend, something amazing happened to me. I took my friend to Kiama's famous Blowhole in NSW. It's a natural cavern that spouts water with such force that it can go more than 20 metres high. Unfortunately we got there at low tide after spending too much time in Berry so the blowhole was inactive. But as me and my friend were walking away we heard lots of gasps from the crowds. They had spotted a humpback whale!! We rushed back and quickly looked out towards the sea. Then, a whale suddenly jumped out of the water, exposing its white belly and black fins, making a huge splash!

It was an amazing sight!! I was in awe and the crowds were delighted. I couldn't take my eyes off the water. We watched as 2 or 3 more whales appeared, spouting water and bobbing around before they eventually swam away. This lasted around twenty minutes.

When I told all my friends, they all gasped that a whale jumping was a rare thing to witness and they were delighted we got to see it for free! (usually you have to go on Whale Tours to see these things!)

I can now tick that one off my bucket list, and I wasn't even intending to whale watch that weekend. I guess I was just there at the right time! Life can be so sweet. Did anyone else do anything exciting this weekend?

A Campaign (Part 1): Riders by Lee's Summer Spring 2012

A Campaign (Part 1): Riders by Lee Summer Spring 2012; View my behind the scenes post here.

I am absolutely looking forward to Summer this year after viewing this Riders by Lee Campaign. Especially with Jack Donaldson (Supermodel Lily Donaldson's brother) being featured, the whole campaign has a youthful and 70's road-trip vibe. I can imagine waking up in this sleeping caravan and this sleepy park with Elton John's 'Yellow brick road' in the background (I'm an old soul). What a perfect lazy morning.
Because I love Summer, Road-trips, (Ice cream) and Denim, I am proud to announce that I will be hosting a give-away on behalf of my blog and Riders by Lee. It will involve my readers winning some amazing pairs of jeans in which I will also style for the blog, Lucy and The Runaways style. So please stay tuned for details! Stay tuned!

As I have mentioned so many times lately, Winter is ending! I keep celebrating by heading to the beach in the morning and playing on the swings like a little kid. I was sent some very cute clear lenses glasses from Firmoo to play around with and I am a very satisfied glasses wearer. I'm wearing mine to add a 'cuter' touch to my looks (something I don't often do) and teaming it with an even cuter Panda printed t-shirt from Storets. I am just so bloody  happy Winter is ending and so far my wardrobe is reflecting it.

Firmoo has been becoming very big lately, with over 300 styles of affordable and stylish glasses in their collection. They are also now launching a new program offering free sunglasses to first-time buyers to the store by going through here. How exciting! Forever Young: Behind the Scenes Photos from the Riders by Lee Campaign

Tuesday, July 10, 2012

A Photoshoot: Riders by Lee Summer/Spring 2012 feat. Jack Donaldson (cousin of supermodel Lily Donaldson).

Jack Donaldson (cousin of supermodel Lily Donaldson) is a stunner. Here he is modelling for the new Summer/Spring 2012  denim range for Riders by Lee, as the campaign references laid-back roadtrips and mid morning sun. Riders by Lee have created a youthful range of pastel yellows and teals, cut off shorts, and long skinnys for Summer/Spring 2012.
Wearing guys and girls denim Super Skinny and R1 Skinny, the backdrop included a vintage van alongside hazy Musgrave Pond and Centennial Park.
I personally love the 70's festival vibe and bed hair... and how effortlessly cool everyone looks. Reminds me of my own roadtrips where we would stop by the south coast of Sydney and admire the views from the cliffs. Remembering that all that mattered in life is love, comfort and peace. Feeling forever young indeed.
