My Entry: Next’s International Style Challenge – Brits v’s the Aussies!

Sunday, March 4, 2012

Yellow Pop Pocket Singlet from Beginning Boutique, Staple Body-chains from Beginning Boutique, Wedges from Topshop, Long Cuffs from Miss Selfridge, #64 Enthusiast Lipstick from Chanel

I was contacted by NEXT recently and was asked to take part of this great competition - NEXT's International Styling Competition - Brit's vs. the Aussies. I was delighted to receive an amazing colour-block skirt to work with. As an Aussie, I love bright colours and detail so I wore the skirt with a bright yellow sleeveless top and Staples Body Chain (from Australian store Beginning Boutique). Then I wore my bright red lipstick to tie the whole look together. I had this photo-shoot at the Opera House in front of the Harbour Bridge - an iconic Australian landmark.

Thank you NEXT for asking me to be a part of this competition, I had so much fun styling this colour block skirt and taking pride in my Australian heritage.

Waiting for my Candyman, in candy blue and candy pink!

Asos Stretch denim skirt, Untitled one-shoulder top, Asos pink belt, Topshop sandals, Miss Selfridge Long Gold Cuff, Asos spike bracelet (similar here), MAC 'Girl about Town' lipstick

I'm taking some time off my busy schedule to go to the movies, and I watched Happy feet 2. It was so entertaining and full of grande dance numbers. I especially like Eric's sweet voice, when he finally opens his mouth to sing 'his' song, I cried, mascara running down my face.
I'm such a cry-baby for movies and books with big emotional numbers and plot-twists. I just finished the book "The time traveler's wife"  by Audrey Niffenegger and well, when he died, I cried on the train when I was just finishing off that sentence. Luckily I had my sunglasses on.

I remember 3 years ago on Boxing Day 2008 when I was reading Twilight's 'New Moon' book, when Edward broke up with Bella, I cried, like bawled on my bed after I read it. Definitely reminded me of every break-up I've had in my life!

Anyways, today I'm in my colour-blocking mood, and it's summer and I'm loving bright bold and fun outfits, and ice cream!

Remember to join my give-away! My give-away is still open! It has fantastic makeup from MAC Chanel and Napoleon Perdis! Enter now here.

Much love~
xx Natalie
