This morning, I woke up with a jolt at 12PM.  I realised that all three of my alarms just refused to stir me awake at 10.30AM like it was suppose to (I often sleep at 3am-4am so I'm not one of those indulgent over-sleepers). But I'm glad I didn't wake up so early to cut off my dream. It was a wonderful one - he smiled at me, held me, brushed my hair behind my ear and whispered sweet nothings. When I woke up, He haunted my mind.
This month of May I predicted was supposed to be a sad one. And it was, in some ways - disputes with close friends, abit of disappointment from my friends as they let me down, no money, no motivation to clean my room. But I wasn't locking myself up in a room or work bathroom to cry about Him. I don't know how but I seem to have discovered some inner strength I must've reserved just for this month.
I continue my day as normal - work, blog, read emails, exercise, photoshoots, spend my nights with close friends etc and I rarely think about Him. I just think : Ignorance is Bliss. Yet no matter bloody what, you cannot escape your dreams. It must've been my subconscious letting out all the feelings I bottled up during the day. So I battle my mind when I wake up reminded of Him. I then spend the next couple of hours trying to forget it all again - read and watch bad TV.
Another way to forget (during the day) is to go to far away places with one of your best friends. Here I am at Mona Vale and my friend Betty instructs me to mount a fence that wasn't as stable as I thought. I rolled around on that log as it tipped me forwards and backwards. The result: some fun laughs and giggles and a reminder that I was indeed happy during the Month of May.

This is what happens when one of my closest girlfriends come over; I strip down to a leotard and we create our own private photo party. We listened to The Weeknd and laughed and lay around in bed sharing stories. I mentioned that sometimes my purpose in life feels like it is to be a Muse (a source of inspiration) for the men in my life; so my girlfriend took photos of me like I was one and that I was there to inspire.

My own new personal muse, is the singer Abel Tesfaye with the stage name: The Weeknd. I got myself a hat from Ebay that's dedicated to him, as I've been obsessed with his music since late 2012. He's so good that sometimes it's too intense for my poor little soul.

The Weeknd, when listening to him, helps me articulate all those moments I usually don't share with the world, but with a few people privately. I am reminded that I have lived life to my fullest sensual potential at least one point in time. And trust me, those moments are what keeps me on a high while living my sometimes mundane life. It feels like all I do is answer emails, work my shifts and come home to feed the dogs.
These few private people are my other personal muses in my life. They keep me inspired and constantly on my toes, reminding me that life is indeed also a sensual, vivid and intense ride. Without them my life is one flat-lined boring timeline. The energy between us is electric, passionate and sometimes too much for me; and while I know that sometimes you have to let certain muses go, I try to appreciate what they do to my life while they are there.

Mojomade Skulls in the Dark

Wednesday, July 11, 2012

Wearing: Mojomade printed tee (size M); One Teaspoon Bustier via Beginning Boutique; Sportsgirl beanie; Stussy jacket; Illamasqua 'Box' lipstick

I'm loving my Mojomade tee imprinted with original sketches by Morgan Joanel. It speaks wicked cool and taps into Morgan's rock n roll style. The low armhole shapes means I can show off some skin without my boy getting mad. It will be available to purchase mid-late 2012 online on Morgan's blog.
Me and my boy decided to do some night photography to get the mood going for Mojomade. It was cool and all but half the time I was freaking out about ghosts showing up in the background of my photos. I believe in ghosts, don't laugh at me! Looking at it now though.. I'm thinking ghosts can make friends with my crown adorned skull on my tee.. right, right?
