Wednesday, October 19, 2011

Topshop floral dress
Asos socks
Forever 21 clogs (similar here)
Topshop flats (in last picture)

Hello Hello Hello! I hope everyone has been well. Thank you for the great comments, for the last post. But the best people you have to thank are those fantastic bloggers I interviewed! They are great! If you want to learn more about them, please visit: The Electric Heart Girl, Hummingbird Girls and Autumn-Castle

I'm in a better mood lately, because I'm finally getting some job interviews lined up. I won't go into too much detail right now, but its FOUR this week, including an awesome internship with a fellow Sydney blogger (I'm hoping to get this one the most). I've done 2 interviews now, I have another 2 to go. Wish me luck!

When I was feeling down, my boyfriend was constantly trying to cheer me up (sweet sweet man). But, he has INSISTED I take some photos out in the city at night, he claiming the lighting is *awesome* and that the photos will look better. But as a per-caution I made him take some in the sunlight. I hope he doesn't see that I only took one photo from our night shoot. Teehee

Hope you like my mix of prints. I love this Topshop dress. You know those special dresses you leave on the hanger on your door so you can stare at it all day knowing you're saving it for that 'special occasion'? Well this dress is that one. Beautiful floral border print!

xx Natalie

PS I was featured in Isabella's Views of Now blog. A fantastic post. Thanks Isabella!

Hi all! Thanks for commenting on my blog, I am so happy. I will  be following up those comments asap and visiting everyone's awesome blogs!

So, do you guys dress by feeling? I know style is very individual, but how you're feeling usually dictates how you dress. (Well that's how I feel anyway). So when I was approached by Woolmark to be part of their new wool campaign "Fashion by feelings" I knew I had to be a part of it. Currently Woolmark are asking people to post a look, based on 12 different "feeling" categories. The looks are encouraged to style with wool garments or pieces.

It's a fun campaign to educate everyone that wool is a natural fibre and that it's fantastic to wear. As a true blue Aussie, this cannot be true to heart. Here in Australia, the wool industry is big, and we manufacture many items from wool, Including our infamous UGG boot and various jumpers, scarves etc.

I encourage everyone to join the Woolmark "Fashion by feelings" campaign, its a great way to raise awareness about wool. The look with the most loved votes will win a holiday package to Australia with an awesome wool experience worth $12,000 AUD. There are also weekly prizes drawn  for the voters, to win a "EMU Australia" package worth $400 AUD.

My current look featured above, is not my campaign entry, but just a look I was wearing today. If I were to put it in a "feeling catorgory it will be the "cute" one.
My entry is actually the one below, its in the "vintage" category. Remember to vote for me here!

My Secret Garden and my faux Fur Vest

White Monk fur vest
MAC "Goes & Goes" lipstick

Hi all! You've certaintly left some great comments in my last blog psot, I've gone and downloaded some of the games you've suggested, at the moment though, I am loving Pucca's Restraurant on iphone! Takes up so much of my time these days... hehe

This week I went to a charity event for Zumba. It was for the "Go Red for Women" Charity and the event was a Zumbathon at Penrith panthers Club. It was so fun. We danced for 1.5 hours and had three different instructers.
I went because my Zumba teacher from my gym asked us to come along, and she is my favourite instructer at my gym. Do you guys like to gym, and what are your favourite classes?

My favourite is definitely pump class and Zumba. I think I like the dance element the most - I used to do hip hop dancing a few years ago. My Zumba instructer though, is unique, she tends to really mix hip hop tracks from Pitbull and JLO etc into her classes and her dance moves are more hip hop influenced. Other Zumba techers tend to stick to the more Salsa feel to their classes. One of the best highlights was that we got the cheographer from The Lion King Musical teaching us Zumba, THAT GUY CAN MOVE! Wow!

Zumba aside, Do you guys like my chiffon dress? I love the cut, it's so ladylike. The sleeves are my favourite because its not often you find long sleeved dresses these days. And the fur vest I thought gives it an edge, an animalistic egde; also keeps me very warm :)

Enjoy your week everyone!
xx Natalie

You've just gotta love CAPITAL H & M

Friday, June 24, 2011

What I wore today: H&M lace dress (find similar H&M item here), Asos Cardigan (find similar Asos item here), Ebay socks (find similar item here), Novu shoes (find similar item here), Lancel bag (find similar item here), Chanel sunglasses (find item here), feather earrings (find similar item here), MAC 'cyber' lipstick (find item here), Fossil watch (find item here)

I love H&M, I cannot stress how much. I first discovered H&M when I visited France a couple of years ago. Compared to the shops in Sydney, it was a clothing wonderland. I have never seen so many beautiful products under the same label in one place at the same time. My poor credit card, it got the biggest work out!

Here is me showing some public display of affection (PDA hehe) with the CAPITAL H&M. Look how much I love it, and look how much it loves me. Today I take my innocent lace dress and wear it with some of my edginess. Dark lipstick, dark socks, dark shoes, just the way I like it. Tell me how much you love H&M and link your favourite H&M look below! I'll love to see it!
Oh and also, aren't you guys excited about the collaboration with Versace?!

CAT IN A HAT meow

What I wore today: Vintage Jumper, Vintage Vest, General Pants Beanie, Sportsgirl Earmuffs and Gloves, Zara shorts, Sportsgirl stockings, Grey socks (ebay), Wittner boots, Diva bangles, Necklace (from France)

Do I look cold? YES I AM!!
Oh P.S, I actually don't like cats that much, I'm highly allergic to them.. I sneeze and my throat constricts and start getting red stingy eyes. I found this out 3 years ago at a house party. It was funny at the time but I was also forced to sit outside on the verandeh in the cold :( and you guys know I hate the cold :(

Oh mirror in the sky, what is love?

What I wore today: White Monk faux fur vest, Spicygirl Knit, Sportsgirl Leggings, Sportsgirls socks, Bardot boots, Diva leather thong necklace, headband (unknown)

Woke up with some messy hair, tried to salvage it with this pretty headband. It started with this headband (which I also absolutely adore) then the rest fell into place. I also adore my necklace, its so tribal, and it blends so well with my hair and fur vest. Its the first day of Winter as of yesterday! I was so happy to see some lovely sun. I feel so sorry for others in the world that are in freezing temperatures... if I was in that sort of cold I will never leave the house!

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

What I wore today: H&M Parka, Vintage Denim Shirt, Bardot Dress, Sportsgirls Socks, Forever 21 clogs, Belt (from Europe), Diva/Pandora Jewllery

Would you guys believe, that I played three games of lasertag in this outfit? Fortunately I changed into my ballet flats for it, but still! I scraped my knees all over the floor and I ran like crazy trying to shoot down the other teams. I'm quite competitve and be quite the sniper. Great fun, I felt like Barney from HIMYM. Legend...dary!

Somewhere only we know

What I wore today: Into Fashions Knit Jumper, Topshop top, Paper Scissors Shorts, Sportsgirls Socks, Bardot Boots, Topshop Bag, Diva/Markets Jewellery

Often, I find myself wishing I wasn't at work and that I was in a park. My office refuses to open the blinds and has no open windows, so I spend my day under fluorescent lighting and breathing air conditioned recycled air.
It's such a wonderful escape to stroll through parks, watch black swans skimming the lakes and to read a good book under the trees. It is a quiet joy.

I feel pretty and witty and bright

What I wore today: Mink blouse, Vintage leather shorts, Asos Cardigan, belt (from Europe), Grey Socks (Ebay bought), Forever 21 shoes, Diva/Markets Bracelets, Diva Headband, NY Lipstick

I woke up excited to spend the night with my boyfriend, we had a plan to watch the Glee finale, the Oprah finale and to eat in (mainly bad foods). I won't tell you details of the (bad) food we ate, but Glee and Oprah had the best highlights - they both featured the musical Wicked! I love Wicked, especially the songs Unlimited and Defying Gravity, beautiful Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel! I even saw the Australian production twice. Worth every cent!

Anyhoo... I'm totally getting off the subject.. aren't my vintage shorts divine? I love them, I also bought them off Ebay from a very nice Vintage clothes store. Here's the link to the store :)

What I wore today: Asos Parka, Forever 21 scarf, Lovelygirl Dress, Asos Socks, Wittner Boots, MAC Morange Lipstick

Today, in Sydney was one of the first days of chilly weather. It's only Autumn, but I can feel that crisp air. I piled on my extra heavy blanket and had my little dog sleep next to me for extra warmth. I don't like Winter, but I guess I don't mind the wardrobe.
