After listening to some Fleetwood MAC, I wore a fur gilet for a 70s vibe

Mink faux fur vest/ Gilet (similar here and here)
Vintage pussybow blouse (similar here)
Forever 21 clogs
Rayban Aviators (buy here)
Topshop Bag (buy here)

Ever since I've started watching Glee, I found so many songs that I've listened to all my life, but sometimes didn't know the original artists. I've always loved "Songbird" - I heard it first from the movie Love Actually but after Glee did an episode based on Fleetwood Mac, I instantly recognized the song. Then I got the Fleetwood Album and have been listening to it for four months now.
After I put this outfit on, I instantly saw a 70s vibe. The clogs, fur gilet, pussybow blouse, and curly hair. My mom would be proud, she lived for the 70s and the 60s.
Also, I've been finishing up ALL my paperwork for my new job, and I start training for 4 weeks next Monday. Wish me luck, my maths is quite horrendous, I often wonder how I got this Casino dealer job... I don't even enjoy gambling! But its only part-time, so I can still blog in my spare time and blogging is #1. Also I can continue to intern with my fashion blogger Morgan Joanel from Mojomade.

For this weekend (which already started for me on 11/11/11!!) I have a best friend's birthday party at a German restaurant, and another best friend's engagement party, and possibly, Sculptures by the Sea at Bondi Beach on Sunday. Possibly!
What are guys up to this weekend?

P.S I'm loving Morgan Joanel's blog right now, she has super wicked style. Check it out here.

I don't often go to the city to take some photos, but as Sydney's weather warms up, and daylight savings come about (sun sets at 7.30PM now yay), its easy to find you spend your dusky-light evenings window shopping and strutting in heels.
I was invited out by a dear friend of mine Betty, from Betty's Bites to eat at a birthday dinner in a Japanese place called Waguya, we ate lots of seaweed salad, takoyaki, chicken karage and green tea lattes, and burned it off by climbing concrete hills in my heels.

Tonight, I'm wearing a petite Asos dress with an opening at the back, and added a flower power pop and some bright lipstick. I also find myself loving my dip dyed hair more and more, when I walk by my reflection, I want it to blow dramatically when the breeze visits and pretend I'm in a shampoo commercial.

But I'm most excited about tomorrow, I'm going to meet Morgan again from Mojomade, she has a fantastic blog where she posts about her designs, looks and music. She has a Betts shoe give-away going on, I swear you will love these shoes (who doesn't love Orange?) and if you don't enter than you must be one of those poor few souls who have flat feet and can't wear heels :(

Much love~

It's raining here in Sydney! Need an umbrella and a nice coat for the Bridal Expo

New Look chiffon dress (similar here)
Forever 21 clogs
Sportsgirl beanie (similar here)
Country road leather gloves
DIY scarf
Topshop bag

Hi all! Hope all is well, I am visiting many new blogs, and so much awesome Auttumn trends I have to note for myself! I will be ready next year when you guys go back into Spring, hehe.

In Sydney, we had a few days of heavy rain, such a downer for Spring. but luckily for me, I was able to spend this wet day indoors, at the Sydney Bridal expo. Here, this is where all wedding flowers, cards, dresses, and cakes come to party. I went with three of my girlfriends, one of whom is getting married next year.
As soon as we walked in, we got attacked with bridal brick-like magazines, free deodorants and many many many flowers waiting to be admired and smelt. I never realized how much planning was involved for the wedding, and as maid of honor, I silently freaked out with my engaged best friend.

But on a brighter note, I at least dressed the part, and I got asked at least 9 times when I am getting married. I wore a bright array of colours, matching watermelon with my green coat, and wearing a yellow beanie to tie it in together. It's fun and playful, unlike the weather in Sydney.

What sort of wedding do you want?

I hope this weather goes away soon. Have a great week!

xx Natalie

Hi all! Hope all is well. Thank you again for all the sweet comments, they really make me happy!
I'm putting aside a lot of time to visit everyone's blogs, and every time I visit, I'm getting more and more fashion inspiration to feed off.

Well, good news, I passed my Green P's driving test here in Sydney; basically its the 2nd stage in your driving career. I am now considered less of a danger to society on the road. Other things I've been up over the past few days are: applying for many many bar-tending jobs and administration. No luck yet, but I have to hang in there. I'm not after a lot of money, but just enough to survive. I already know a lot of money won't bring me happiness, but just enough money to buy food and to continue blogging will.

Today it was a beautiful day (Spring here!) so I wore a beautifully printed kimono jacket I got from Topshop. I paired it with a mix of prints - polka dots, bright pink lipstick and a floral skirt. I'm not sure if I can pull it off, but many people tell me I can because I'm looking tanned all year around and tend to make bright colours pop.

Another plus to a great new season is, new TV series are starting again. I'm looking forward to new How I met your Mother, Glee and Two and 1/2 men. But I'm REALLY looking forward to Glee. My dream is to be a Glee kid!

Have a great week!

xx Natalie

Hi all! Thanks for commenting on my blog, I am so happy. I will  be following up those comments asap and visiting everyone's awesome blogs!

So, do you guys dress by feeling? I know style is very individual, but how you're feeling usually dictates how you dress. (Well that's how I feel anyway). So when I was approached by Woolmark to be part of their new wool campaign "Fashion by feelings" I knew I had to be a part of it. Currently Woolmark are asking people to post a look, based on 12 different "feeling" categories. The looks are encouraged to style with wool garments or pieces.

It's a fun campaign to educate everyone that wool is a natural fibre and that it's fantastic to wear. As a true blue Aussie, this cannot be true to heart. Here in Australia, the wool industry is big, and we manufacture many items from wool, Including our infamous UGG boot and various jumpers, scarves etc.

I encourage everyone to join the Woolmark "Fashion by feelings" campaign, its a great way to raise awareness about wool. The look with the most loved votes will win a holiday package to Australia with an awesome wool experience worth $12,000 AUD. There are also weekly prizes drawn  for the voters, to win a "EMU Australia" package worth $400 AUD.

My current look featured above, is not my campaign entry, but just a look I was wearing today. If I were to put it in a "feeling catorgory it will be the "cute" one.
My entry is actually the one below, its in the "vintage" category. Remember to vote for me here!

Why have one Peterpan collar when you can have three

Tuesday, July 26, 2011

Forever 21 denim shorts
Forever 21 clogs
Sportsgirl belt
Fossil Watch
Lime Crime Cosmopop lipstick

Hi all! You guys have certainly brightened up my day. Its funny that I'm not the only one that buys things because of music stars, I'm not alone! Your comments are so sweet, and I love you all.

I've been quite sad lately and have been depressed at work. I've been working as an assistant buyer for a fashion company for nearly 2 years now, but unfortunately the company is not for me. And I will resign this week. I think a break is needed for me, and I would like to find out what it is I would want to do in life.

It's most likely I'll stay in the fashion industry, since I absolutely love clothes and styling and design. I just hope an opportunity comes up soon, but in a new company that I'll love.

What industries do you guys work in? I would love to know!

Today I'm wearing a triple layer Peterpan collared shirt by Topshop, and some lovely denim shorts by Forever 21. I'm loving the collar on this, its so quirky and makes an outfit unique. I've also layered green on green clothing, in a montone fashion, and paired it up with a contrasting orange lip colour. It's been raining in Sydney so I took some photos against a green wall :)

Enjoy!

Also, please vote for me in this "We love Wool" competition! I would love all your support!

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

What I wore today: H&M Parka, Vintage Denim Shirt, Bardot Dress, Sportsgirls Socks, Forever 21 clogs, Belt (from Europe), Diva/Pandora Jewllery

Would you guys believe, that I played three games of lasertag in this outfit? Fortunately I changed into my ballet flats for it, but still! I scraped my knees all over the floor and I ran like crazy trying to shoot down the other teams. I'm quite competitve and be quite the sniper. Great fun, I felt like Barney from HIMYM. Legend...dary!
