Catching the Breeze: Milk from a Thistle dress & Cali and Cale Shoes

Wednesday, July 18, 2012

Wearing: Milk from A Thistle maxi dress; Cali & Cale Sandals; Boohoo cuff; Moorea Seal head chain; Revlon 'Apricot Blaise' lipstick

I think I work too much. As well as my blog work (in which of course I love), I also do shift work at the casino. For example over the past 24 hours I worked two 8 hour shifts, with 4 hours sleep in between. Yet as I struggle to keep awake now, I am still smiling at these photos. The moment I put on this beautiful bird printed Maxi dress from Milk from a Thistle I felt like running through the fields. And I did just that. It also helped that I was wearing perfectly sculpted Cali & Cale sandals to help me frolic safely and comfortably. I am pretty clumsy, so safety is definitely a top priority for me.

A hazy afternoon relaxing in an Azuki maxi dress and with friends

Azuki Sarabi Maxi Dress (designed by Morgan Joanel)
Wittner studded sandals (similar here)
Sportsgirl floral headband (similar here)
MAC St Germain lipstick

What a hazy Saturday. Love weather like this, where you can wear summer dresses like these and head out to the city without an overcoat or cardigan. I had Indian food in the city with my friends and had cocktails (strawberry and lychee cocktails to be exact!) at a tiny bar in Kings Cross.

The next day, I spent the day with lovely blogger/fashion designer/musician Morgan Joanel from Mojomade at a cafe to discuss fashion, blogging, food and music. Here I'm wearing one of her designs for Azuki. The detail at the back is beautiful, it features studs and leatherette straps. A nice mix of feminine and hard.

If you want to enter Morgan's fantastic give-away, you can enter by clicking below. Her prize pool includes items from Sony, One Teaspoon, Azuki, Tony Bianco and much more. It ends 20th December and is open worldwide!

I will soon host my own blog giveaway featuring makeup I regularly wear on my blog! Stay tuned!!

Much love~

DIY maxi skirt worn as a dress
Wittner Sandals (similar here)
Sportsgirl belt (similar here)
Market/Diva Bracelets (similar here)/ Necklace (similar here and here)

Hi all, I hope everyone has been great. I'm going to keep this post short, because I was abit unhappy and heartbroken today. So when I'm unhappy I tend to turn to music, TV, food and reading....

-Music (The Beatles and playing piano)
-TV (Glee and How I met your Mother)
-Food (Ice cream and Pizza)
-Reading ('One Day' book)
....this is what I did today.

Yesterday, I was in a happier mood though because I was at the beach, beautiful famous Bondi Beach until 7PM and I was flying a kite. Love flying a kite, reminds me of a kid :)
This is my outfit from yesterday, I made this skirt myself (worn as a dress though) and it's so cool to the touch and the print is a favourite of mine.
What do you guys do when you're unhappy?

Let me know, enlighten me...!

Taking my Chanel sunglasses out for a walk - and my dog also tags along

Friday, September 16, 2011

Stripe Maxi Dress (similar here): Paper Scissors
Cardigan (similar here): ESP Designs
Sunglasses (similar here): Chanel
Lipstick: Revlon bleach orchid

Hi all! Hope all is well. I have soooo many visiters to visit back from my last post, but I'm sooo determined to get through them all, thanks heaps for the sweet comments!

Today, I took my dog out for a walk. Her name is Luna, and she is 1/2 Maltese and 1/2 shitzhu, and my little princess. She loves to go out for a walk, but I swear, after about 15 minutes, she's a giver-upper, she gets so tired she plants her ass to the ground and refuses to budge. Then I grudgingly have to pick her up and carry her all the way home. Either she is very lazy, or she is very smart.

I am also wearing my other pair of sunglasses, I usually wear my ray-bans, but these are also very dear to me. I bought them when I was in France in 2009, from THE Chanel store, how very chic of me. They are possibly the most expensive thing I own - and the best feature I reckon, is the very obvious brand icon placement on the side, the "C's". Might as well show off that I own a little bit of Chanel!

On a side note: I was asked to be featured on a great blog "Trust you style" written by Mary Jo. Check out the sweet blog post about Lucy and the Runaways here. Thanks so much Mary!

Have a great weekend!
xx Natalie
