Winner of my Make-up Giveaway:
Leslie from Fashion Needy!

Interview with Leslie from Fashion Needy (USA)

1) Can you tell us a little about yourself and your blog?
I am Panamanian, born and breed, but I've been living in the States for about 5 years now. I am a music lover, fashion junkie after 5 pm (since I have a day job from 9 to 5) and an exercise aficionado for about 4 out of 7 days in the week. I can't really pin point one thing that means the world to me. My talent is that I am a pretty versatile person, I can be good at many things as long as I find some joy while doing it. My passion for the fashion industry is the only thing that stands out the most and it might have started since I was little but I think I never really explored it until I graduated college and had to choose a career path. I am a true believer in the fact that if you work on something you love, you will never have to work a day in your life and I knew that I will never get tired of  clothes, jewelry, shoes and everything in between. I still haven't defined my future, 5 years from now is still blurry but I am happy soaking in everything I can about the industry and cautiously thinking about my next big move.
My blog started out as a place for me to share trends and thoughts about the Fashion world and has slowly transformed into a style diary. With a day job it's hard to find time to do a lot of research and writing so sharing my daily outfits was definitely  a good way to showcase the trends of the moment according to my taste. I do want to find the time to share more tips and talk about upcoming trends but at the moment I am happy with what it has become.

2) How you first got involved in with blogging?
I've been working for a social media company for about a year and a half and while doing research regarding the Tumblr platform, I got a crazy desire to open my own account and start something. I had no idea what I was getting into. I had all these theories of what I was going to do and after a couple of posts I forgot about it and left it to die... well almost. Thanks to my boss I got the chance to talk to one of the creators of Bloglovin and after hearing his success story I felt like I should stop whining about not being involved in the Fashion industry and just get involved somehow. So I went back to my Tumblr, concocted a theme for the blog and focused on bringing it back to life. I started blogging about 4 days a week but I continued using Tumblr because I was still a bit shaky about what I wanted to do.I didn't have much followers because the platform was just not the right venue. Most of the people that saw my blog where my Facebook friends that couldn't really give me any feedback because they didn't have a Tumblr account. When I started to notice how many people read it and liked it is that I decided to get serious and switch to an actual blogging platform and it has definitely been a sweet ride after that.

3) Name some of the bloggers whom you look up to and why?
My all time favorite blogger is Atlantic-Pacific. There really isn't any reason behind my obsession over her blog, I just love her style. If I had an endless shopping budget, that's probably what my closet would look like. I love her combinations and especially her ability to over-accessorize without looking like it is too much. I also enjoy Cupcakes and Cashmere. She's another girl whose style I find very appealing and since baking is one of my many pleasures, her recipes come in very handy! One other blogger I always refer to is 9to5 Chic. She has a more refined and sophisticated style, it's safe but with a little twist and it serves as a good inspiration for those, like me, who need to be in an office where a more conservative attire is required.

 Blogger Interview #1 :

Interview with Melissa from Flourished & Sunkissed (Australia)

1) Can you tell us a little about yourself and your blog?
I'm a 20 year old media student from Sydney hoping to one day work in PR/ advertising. I also have a part time job and intern at Samantha Wills. With all of that going on, I never really get time to myself which works out well because I like being kept busy (I'm not sure I remember how to relax!). And somehow I still manage to maintain my blog, Flourished & Sunkissed. It started out as red carpet and trend commentary, but is now a collection of my inspiration, fashionable thoughts and most recently, outfit snaps!

2) How you first got involved in with blogging?
I went through a vintage phase in 2010 so I spent most of my time on eBay looking for one off pieces to house in my wardrobe. Among my favourite stores were Gary Pepper Vintage, Spin Dizzy Fall and Tuula Vintage who all used blogging as a way of showcasing their vintage finds and personal style. I followed their blogs religiously and from there my love for fashion blogs grew exponentially.
I started Flourished & Sunkissed at the end of 2010 because I was looking for a way to engage with the fast moving world of fashion. Around that time I also came across a number of fashion blogs who would post a tonne of visuals and only a sentence or two of writing which annoyed me a little. This made me all the more determined to come up with unique content to make my blog interesting and insightful both to view and to read.

3) Name some of the bloggers whom you look up to and why?
Gary Pepper Vintage - Nicole has to be my favourite Aussie blogger. I had the opportunity to meeting her and she is just as humble and lovely as she is on her blog.  I really admire her entrepreneurship and the fact she manages to maintain both an online store with some really amazing vintage pieces and quality blog content. Her outfit posts are always so lustworthy!
Style Scrapbook - I think Andy was part of the first wave of fashion bloggers and 4 years later she's still going strong. The one thing I love about her is that she hasn't let the success get the better of her and she stays true to who she is and her own sense of style!
Sincerely Jules & Song of Style - I always get excited seeing new posts up on Jules and Aimee's blogs. I find it hard to post regularly, let alone come up with different outfit combinations everyday, but both these American bloggers manage deliver new, covetable outfits almost daily.

Interview #2:
Sara-Marina from Sara-Marina (Germany)

Interview with Sara-Marina from Sara-Marina (Germany)

1) Can you tell us a little about yourself and your blog?
Hey cuties! I´m Sara-Marina and I´m seventeen years old. First of all I want to say that my english is very bad but I´ll try my best.
I started blogging 2009 but since 2011 I started to blog regularly. I live in boring Germany in a town called Frankfurt.
I love fashion and especially art. I love to take strange pictures and sometimes I try to design my own clothes. Also I´m a mess and really chaotic. On my blog I mostly post pictures and I do not write a lot. My biggest wish is to life in New York someday and my goal is to become a fashion designer. I also love to draw but I´m not really talented in drawing  that´s why I prefer abstract art. My motto is to create yourself and if I should describe myself in three words I would say : Head in space.

2) How you first got involved in with blogging?
I got my camera as a christmas present and I started to take lots of pictures and I wanted to share them with people. I think it´s a cool thing and the first blog I saw was FASHIONTOAST. I was inspired and decided to create my own page.

3) Name some of the bloggers whom you look up to and why?
http://thechicmuse.blogspot.com/ - I think she is AMAZING. Sometimes she wears clothes or accessorize which I would never wear but she makes them look so special and stylish.
http://www.fashionsalade.com/le-happy - Her hair and her style is perfect. The way she combines her clothes is interesting, casual and beautiful.
http://chest-to-chest.blogspot.com - She is my half sister and I love her. We are totally different but her pictures are so cool and she is really talented. For me she is a big inspiration.

Interview #4:

Interview with Margaret from La Petite Mademoiselle (Australia)

 1) Can you tell us a little about yourself and your blog?
My name is Margaret and I'm the blogger and owner of La Petite Mademoiselle. I'm 100% Chinese but proudly made in Australia. I love green tea ice cream and durian but that's about as Asian as I get.
My blog La Petite Mademoiselle is an offshoot of my boutique. It documents my outfits and things that inspire me, whether it's fashion, music or people. My blog is also a way for people to get to know the girl behind La Petite Mademoiselle.

2) How you first got involved in with blogging?

My first handful of posts were sporadic insights into my wardrobe and things relating to my online boutique. However after some convincing from my friend I began documenting my outfits and thus La Petite Mademoiselle as we know it today was formed.

3) Name some of the bloggers whom you look up to and why?

A few bloggers I look up to are:
Nicole from Gary Pepper Vintage.
What she has achieved is exactly what I want to do - balance an online boutique and blog. Both as successful as the other.

Bonnie from Flashes of Style.
This was the first blog I began following. I simply just love her style. I not so secretly want her wardrobe. There are a few pieces I've bought have been because she had worn it in an outfit post.

Margaret from Shine By Three.
I don't just love her because we share a name and go to the same university, I love her because her style just oozes amazing-ness. Not to mention she has great tips on how to shop on a students income :)

Thank you Leslie, Margaret, Sara-Marina and Melissa for your contribution and I hope Leslie, you enjoy your makeup. Thank you everyone for entering!

Much love~
xx Natalie
