One Teaspoon Holster Bodice thanks to Beginning Boutique, One Teaspoon denim shorts thanks to Beginning Boutique, Chain glove thanks to Morgan Joanel, Zara white Mens tee, Asos leopard belt, Topshop sandals

Australia Day 2012: to help me prepare, I tanned up, bought sunscreen, prepared a day at the beach and bought my outfit. I visited Beginning Boutique, an online Australian store and found some perrrrfect items. One Teaspoon denim shorts and One Teaspoon Holster Bodice, as pictured below.

The One Teaspoon Bodice Holster ($60 AU) was in particular very popular, it was sold out so fast on Beginning Boutique, I had to pre-order them and I also had to be very quick on that too. But I love love love this Bodice, it's the perfect layering piece, for under low cut dresses and tees and singlets. I've been getting alot of attention on the streets from it!
I also am in love with my chain glove ($35 AU) from Morgan Joanel (visit blog here). It's a great statement piece. Watch this space, because I will be giving away one of these chain gloves to a blog reader in a up-and-coming giveaway! All very exciting news!

Much love~

Happy Australia Day!
I hope all Aussies around Australia celebrated it with pride, with a good ol' BBQ and a beer or two in hand. I spent the day with my friends at Bondi Beach. But before that I ate some delicious burgers at Moo Gourmet Burgers. I myself ordered a "Black and White Burger" - it included a beef patty, fried egg, mozzarella cheese and salad all on a sourdough bun. It was giant but so juicy and tender and I was full for a good 8 hours afterwards.
My friends ordered Wagyu beef burgers, Chicken burgers, onion rings, chips, banana smoothies and Oreo smoothies. What a feast!
I have photo spammed you, but I couldn't pick the best photos out of my batch so I pretty much used all my photos!
If you find yourself in Sydney, or Bondi Beach one day, you have to give this joint a try. Try not to eat for at least 12 hours beforehand, the servings are generous and huge!

Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi

Clovelly Beach - Summer lovin' clash of prints from Nasty Gal and Forever 21

Wednesday, January 25, 2012

Nasty Gal polka dot shirt, Forever 21 shorts, Asos pink belt, Topshop denim jacket, Topshop sandals, MAC Morange lipstick, Miss Selfridge long cuff, Nasty Girl Ring, Ray-ban aviators thanks to OPSM

Sometimes I'm so grateful I live in Sydney because of beautiful weather like this and serene beaches like these. Here I am at Clovelly Beach, it's a narrow beach embedded between some cliffs, and has a sea pool built on its side. The beach has shallow waters so many families like to bring their kids and they build sand castles and can swim without being supervised so heavily.

If you ever visit Sydney, I recommend the cliff walk, from Coogee beach to Bondi beach. Clovelly Beach is on the way, its beautiful and its about a 2 hour walk. One day I shall do the walk and document it for you. Guaranteed a tan and peace and happiness.

I am also loving my new perfume from Stanwells Boutique. They sent me a bottle from Juliette has a Gun called 'Miss Charming', and its got the sweetest scent. Thank you so much Stanwells!

Much love ~

A new year, and you'd think I'd stop eating all these types of food and stick to my 2012 all-year round diet. Oh well, It was the last month for 2011 and I reckon I can work it off in the new year... (or, well maybe, like, right now...I guess...)

Well stick around for next post, hopefully I can FINALLY announce the makeup giveaway winner!

Summer in Sydney, Summer at Bondi Beach, Summer in Max Azria!

Thursday, January 19, 2012

Rayban aviators thanks to OPSM, Max Azria swimming costume, Chicabooti denim shorts, Topshop sandals, Nasty Girl ring, Chanel #64 lipstick

I've taken some time off blogging and working and spent some time at Bondi beach yesterday. It was great, just sun-baking, reading my book, listening to some Jay-Z & Kanye West, and drinking smoothies (from Sejuiced yum). I also got extra tanned (I tan really easily) but I was very careful. Here in Australia we have a hole in our O-zone layer so we must be very careful about protection against the sun. I like to use Coconut smelling products and I recently discovered Le Tan Coconut Lotion with 30+ SPF. Smells so good and its glides on my skin like a dream. Also sunglasses are important for your eyes, so I love my Ray-bans thanks to OPSM. And.. lipstick is great for lip protection, that's my secret!

And I also love these Steve Madden boots, they are a really nice shape. Too bad in Sydney its too hot to wear it, but! I will snatch them up for Winter this year. Such a classic shape.

Steve Madden suede boots. Seriously nice.

Should stop online shopping though....

Much love~

Guest Blogger Interview: Morgan Joanel from Mojomade (with photos taken by me)

Monday, January 16, 2012

Morgan wears: Cardigan from Evil Twin via MARKET HQ, shorts from Tight Tigers, Dress worn as top by Bamboo Blonde Bali
(All photos taken by me)

Ahhhhh, The lovely Morgan Joanel. She is a fellow blogger from Sydney and I had the pleasure to hang out with her the other week and take these photos of her in devilish sequin shorts and Evil Twin cardigan. She nails the perfect colours and the style of a true rock star. I've included an interview from Morgan so you can get an insight to her life. You can also check out her blog here, and her Facebook page here.

1) Can you tell us a little about yourself and your blog?
I'm a Leo, a musician and fashion designer. I've been writing and playing music since I was a kid and since I finished high school, have been touring Australia on and off over the past 6 years. I've currently got a new single out through Sony Music called Devil's In The Detail.
I've always been interested in fashion and accessories and my blog MojoMade was born in March 2011 as an outlet for all the things I create outside of music. It started as somewhere I could put my artwork and sketches and also a couple of "style" posts and has quickly grown into a daily expression of what I'm thinking and creating.
It also lead to a collaboration with Australian label Azuki, where I designed a 14 piece capsule collection that's now stocked in over 200 stores Australia wide. Which is really exciting for my first collection!!

2) How you first got involved in with blogging?
I was introduced to the world of blogging via a book called The Style Diaries. Before that I didn’t really know much about the whole blogging thing, but since exploring the profiles in the book and then going into the ongoing universe of blogs - I’ve really found a passion. I think what appeals is that I create things in many different ways – music, art, fashion, styling, videos, sketches, imagery, inspiration… so the blog platform fits perfectly with what I’m about.
My life is always in a state of change and travel, and my blog has become a daily measure of where I’m at. I always know when I’m in a rut, when I need to challenge myself and when things are good. Being able to explore new and old favourite blogs makes me feel really connected to my creative desires.

3) Name some of the bloggers whom you look up to and why?
FADE TO BLACK – Gemma Rowlands (http://fadetoblackny.blogspot.com)
This was the first blog I discovered and began to follow… I love the photography and the tones she uses to create such a strong mood. Being at artist also means I get more than just a fashion fix, she uploads illustrations too. And it’s New York!!
FASHION TOAST – Rumi Neely (http://fashiontoast.com)
Being the overall number 1 blog on Bloglovin speaks for itself.
TOBACCO AND LEATHER – Abbey Watkins (http://www.tobaccoandleather.blogspot.com)
Amazing artworks, inspired by fashion, inspired by the dark side of life, witchery and sex… Can’t get enough
BOHEMIAN MUSINGS – Isabelle Kuster (http://bohememusings.blogspot.com)
Isabelle is like a little dream perched in a treehouse – I love all the whimsical photography, especially her posts with collections of images – always inspiring you to believe in magic!!
STYLORECTIC (http://stylorectic.blogspot.com)
A little shot of crazy, foreign, uncaring imagery. I love her interpretation of fashion and styling – it always challenges me and opens my eyes to my own perspective.

Also check out her facebook here and music here!

Much love~

Arctic Monkeys Concert: Lee shorts, check. Studs, check. Arm Candy, check, check!

Saturday, January 14, 2012
Lee denim shorts, American Apparel Tee, Anlise Stud Belt, Wittner Stud Sandals, Topshop bag (similar here), Miss Selfridge cuff, Nasty Girl knuckle ring (similar here), Lancome lipstick, Fossil Watch
Photos by Betty from Bettys Bites

I am in love with Arctic Monkey's lead singer Alex Turner. He swooned me from the stage 20 meters away. I almost dropped my cup when he started singing! His leather jacket, that James Dean hair with the cute curl at the front, that allure, that voice.
The Arctic Monkeys came to Sydney and played at the Enmore theater last night, Friday the 13th. I have been waiting for them for years to see them in concert, and this is definitely in my top 5 favorite concerts I've attended thus far (I'm going to Backstreet Boys this May though, I wonder if they will also make the list?).
I was a little ambitious though, I had a morning shift at work the next night (or same night?) that started at 4AM and went through to 12PM. When the concert finished, me and my friend raced home and I washed the beer off myself (A guy, in his drunken happiness, spilled his cup over me), removed my smeared makeup and slept for 2 hours to get to work at 3.30AM. What a night. I am recovered now, I think, so now it's almost midnight on a Saturday and I'm blogging. Still dedicated to my blogging!

Love you all, but I think I love Alex Turner more, for now.
And thank you Betty for taking my lovely photos in Newtown! Check out her blog here.
xx Natalie
