There comes a time when you receive such a perfect bag you can't believe it's in your hands and you get to stroke the fabric, caress the metal details and hold it for the first time. And as soon as I got this bag from To The Nines I imagined so many outfit possibilities with this back pack.
Here's one of them - just a layed back weekday outfit; layed back cardigan, denim and low cut top just so I could let the back pack do all the talking. I know this backpack will be a staple in my coming wardrobe for a long time, even though I try to change up my outfit here and there. I don't know, something about this bag makes all my outfits more 'cute' or 'stylish'. I can settle for cute or stylish. Definitely. Still looking cute at 26 years? A fricken good compliment I reckon.

The Party Haze has finally left me. I put my life on hold to attend the biggest party of the year and now I am in recovery mode again.
But I had a remarkable weekend. I remember the fireworks above me, the green lasers flickering, the grass I layed on and the lazy cigarette between my fingers. I had my friends lying in my lap, holding my hands, sharing a laugh with me. No-one could have burst my bubble as I watched the MC scream out things like 'Screw 9 to 5' and 'We are here to party!' and I was sure to agree with him.

Although I want the world to know my name as a blogger, I remember lying on the grass just, simply, chilling with my best friends and it was amazing. It was all I wanted in that moment - and I realized I could never enjoy anything without the company of my friends. In the bigger picture, its the small things that count. And indeed I am one that craves friendship, intimacy and the feeling that I belong. In this case, I don't ever feel the need to Runaway when I have my friends around me. I do crave to keep my blog successful and let it be a creative outlet for me, but I can never be 100% happy in life without my friends.

Never.

So instead, the world will be introduced to Sway Chic and BaubleBar Jewellery. Already knowing that I am love with pinks, I was happy to ensemble this very pink outfit. Sway Chic's romper, a rock star cardigan, a pretty bangle from BaubleBar and a wicked pouch from Fossil. I am feeling sexy and girly once again, after cut off denim and dirty black boots from my Festival-Party-Hazed-Smoked-Up-Eff-Yeah Weekend.

This week I started training for my 3rd game for my part-time croupier job here in Sydney. It's an 8 day training course and we have to do daily tests and assessments and study at home and practice at any given chance to perfect the dealing technique. As a result I really am not feeling my prettiest or the most excited in my life. In fact I'm stressed, frustrated and pre-occupied.
Study and training does not make me feel attractive (and its a skill I mentally locked away when I finished my Fashion Design course more than 5 years ago).  So come the weekend I hope I can finally dress the way I want to dress and feel fricking sexy again.

I can safely say that being a croupier is just what I do but it's not who or what I am. But, at the same time I don't want to fail at getting my third game. So I'm planning to sacrifice these next 8 days - my sleep, my groomed hair, my TV, gaming and reading, my precise make-up and good food for that extra game. I will not enjoy the journey but I will certainly enjoy the destination.

And at that destination I plan to be wild and free again, partying it up and being cheeky and full of glee once again. Hell Yeah, drinks all round. I'm so craving that different kind of buzz.. the kind that is sexy and brimming with a quiet confidence.
That's how I felt just days earlier when I wore the perfect sex-kitten combination - sleek Royal Aquamarine sunglasses, Zoie's Paint It Red Shorts and Meche Jewellery. And all in striking black.
Yes, I will be craving that destination at the end of my 8 days and I will definitely dig up this outfit just to chase that itching buzz again.

I am always working. If its not my obvious blogging or shift work at the casino, I am also working at keeping my friendships alive, my boyfriend happy, my heart distracted or my mind stimulated.
So, its pretty important that I also play (or party) hard. Last week I was dragged to the Cross to attend The Club. I did enjoy the intense rap music and tried to krump (crump?) to it but eventually my feet started to hurt so much. My feet cramped at the toes and my arch felt so stiff. So trying to be smart, I packed a pair of Flipsters Flats into my bag to prepare for the walk home. And ta-da Flipsters did the job. All I did was unzip the small bag, unfold my shoes and placed them on my stiff feet. It was so convenient and I wanted to cry tears of joys as my feet un-stiffened and straightened into my flats. The walk to the taxi bay and car was heaven.

As for the rest of the week, I tried to concentrate on some of the happier things that were going on in my life. Someone I love once told me that they wish not to be a 'young and dumb' tattoo on my heart that causes bitter thoughts - so I promised myself I wouldn't think about them like that (although I never do; instead is there a tattoo that represents 'my heart still skips a beat when I think of you'?). So I try to find smiles and laughter everywhere. It was too easy this week with a hotel to review, good food, smokes and birthdays of my closest friends coming up. As I said, keep my heart distracted and my mind stimulated.
And of course, wearing the colour Yellow helps. I think it represents happy and confidence and health and this Lace Panel dress from AX Paris (with the help of my Flipsters) made it so much more easier to keep that quiet smile on my face.
