Wearing: The Weeknd Hat from Ebay; Stussy Varsity Jacket; One Teaspoon Leotard

This is what happens when one of my closest girlfriends come over; I strip down to a leotard and we create our own private photo party. We listened to The Weeknd and laughed and lay around in bed sharing stories. I mentioned that sometimes my purpose in life feels like it is to be a Muse (a source of inspiration) for the men in my life; so my girlfriend took photos of me like I was one and that I was there to inspire.

My own new personal muse, is the singer Abel Tesfaye with the stage name: The Weeknd. I got myself a hat from Ebay that's dedicated to him, as I've been obsessed with his music since late 2012. He's so good that sometimes it's too intense for my poor little soul.

The Weeknd, when listening to him, helps me articulate all those moments I usually don't share with the world, but with a few people privately. I am reminded that I have lived life to my fullest sensual potential at least one point in time. And trust me, those moments are what keeps me on a high while living my sometimes mundane life. It feels like all I do is answer emails, work my shifts and come home to feed the dogs.
These few private people are my other personal muses in my life. They keep me inspired and constantly on my toes, reminding me that life is indeed also a sensual, vivid and intense ride. Without them my life is one flat-lined boring timeline. The energy between us is electric, passionate and sometimes too much for me; and while I know that sometimes you have to let certain muses go, I try to appreciate what they do to my life while they are there.

Time for a casual look, a vintage jumper and some denim

Vintage knit jumper
Mui Mui sunglasses (similar item here)

Hi all! I hope you've all been well. I've been so stoked reading all the sweet comments from my last post. It was very special post for me and I'm glad you guys were able to see that. Again thanks to Nursadel for the great photography!

Today, I'm in a more laid-back look, as you know I can't dress up all the time! I will freeze to death in the winter here in Sydney, haha. For the past week (of unemployment), I've been a housewife, cleaning and cooking, and looking after my dogs. I spend my nights with my boyfriend, after he finishes work. Its so relaxing, I have to say. For months I was the one working extra hard and my boyfriend being the stay-at-home man, so its so fun to get the roles reversed.

I don't often wear jeans, I'm more of a dress wearing sort of girl, but sometimes you need to just want to walk out the house without the worry of the wind flipping up the hem lines. I love the shades of red I'm rocking as well, great for the winter here.

I leave you with some behind the scenes photos taken by my boyfriend on my last shoot!
Enjoy!!

xx Natalie

Protecting myself from my sunburt country with my floppy hat

Monday, July 11, 2011

Topshop leather jacket (find similar item here)
Agent ninetynine tank (find similar items here)
Mika & Gala leather skirt (find similar item here)
Jeffrey Campbells Lita Boots (find item here)
Lancome Shade #118 lipstick

Hi all! How inspiring are you all. I've been reading through all your comments and finding such wonderful goals and dreams that you all want to be working hard for! Makes me want to keep working harder and harder in what I love.Thank you :)

Today I took a stroll in my sunburnt country. Anyone who lives here knows our native land. First, there are plenty of gum (eucalyptus) trees, light (almost yellow) drier grass, a bright burning sun, and kangaroos lazing around in our backyard (just kidding!). Actually, many people who visit always expect kangaroos and koalas hanging off trees in our backyards or rolling around in the grass... but this isn't actually the case for most of us. In truth I've only seen kangaroos in the outback behind fences and koalas in wildlife parks.

What sort of things are native to your country? We have chants like "AUSSIE, AUSSIE, AUSSIE, OI OI OI" and our salty spread Vegimite (but I heard its British now?). We also have a hole in our ozone layer, so we get stronger UV sunrays. It has lead to us having a unique sun protection campaign called "SLIP, SLOP, SLAP" which I think is - SLIP on a t-shirt, SLOP on some sunscreen and SLAP on a hat.

It's pretty catchy and especially good for kids to learn around here. Today I'm displaying the SLAP part, I've slapped on a hat. And a wide one as well. Counts as extra super duper protection.

And by the way, I absolutely want the bag from Kayture's blog, from this post here; or see below. It's such a nice colour, and the shape is so cute! I've found a yellow one here, WISHLIST indeed!

Beautiful Day

Sunday, May 15, 2011

What I wore today: Sportsgirl hat, Valleygirl strapless top, H&M leather skirt, Red belt (from Europe), Fossil Watch, Diva/Pandora Jewellery, Sportsgirl Wedges

On this day, I was holding my famous joint birthday party. I join it with my boyfriend because our birthdays are only one day apart! But... it's famous because, I make everyone have drinks and then I end up having way too much of a good time with my drinks and friends and music and dancing.. then more drinks..and shots.. and more chocolate cake.. and you know the rest...

Well, I decided to make use of the beautiful day and take a stroll in the local park. It was my moment of peace before the party started.. and the drinking marathon began... :)

What I wore today: Asos parka, Chicabooti dress, Stockings (from General Pants), Forever 21 wedges, Asos Beanie

It was so cold today I almost didn't quite make it outside to take these pictures. Luckily my panda bear friend was there to look out for me, especially on my bad hair days.
