A Campaign (Part 1): Riders by Lee's Summer Spring 2012

A Campaign (Part 1): Riders by Lee Summer Spring 2012; View my behind the scenes post here.

I am absolutely looking forward to Summer this year after viewing this Riders by Lee Campaign. Especially with Jack Donaldson (Supermodel Lily Donaldson's brother) being featured, the whole campaign has a youthful and 70's road-trip vibe. I can imagine waking up in this sleeping caravan and this sleepy park with Elton John's 'Yellow brick road' in the background (I'm an old soul). What a perfect lazy morning.
Because I love Summer, Road-trips, (Ice cream) and Denim, I am proud to announce that I will be hosting a give-away on behalf of my blog and Riders by Lee. It will involve my readers winning some amazing pairs of jeans in which I will also style for the blog, Lucy and The Runaways style. So please stay tuned for details! Stay tuned!

Time for a casual look, a vintage jumper and some denim

Vintage knit jumper
Mui Mui sunglasses (similar item here)

Hi all! I hope you've all been well. I've been so stoked reading all the sweet comments from my last post. It was very special post for me and I'm glad you guys were able to see that. Again thanks to Nursadel for the great photography!

Today, I'm in a more laid-back look, as you know I can't dress up all the time! I will freeze to death in the winter here in Sydney, haha. For the past week (of unemployment), I've been a housewife, cleaning and cooking, and looking after my dogs. I spend my nights with my boyfriend, after he finishes work. Its so relaxing, I have to say. For months I was the one working extra hard and my boyfriend being the stay-at-home man, so its so fun to get the roles reversed.

I don't often wear jeans, I'm more of a dress wearing sort of girl, but sometimes you need to just want to walk out the house without the worry of the wind flipping up the hem lines. I love the shades of red I'm rocking as well, great for the winter here.

I leave you with some behind the scenes photos taken by my boyfriend on my last shoot!
Enjoy!!

xx Natalie

I'm a bad kid, and I will survive.. on a budget of leather and feathers

Thursday, June 9, 2011

What I wore today: Topshop leather jacket, Cue feather pads, Vintage shirt, Red scarf (unknown), Cheap Monday Jeans, Jeffrey Campbell boots, Mui Mui sunglasses, MAC St. Germain lipstick

Sometimes its so expensive to be in fashion! I work in the fashion buying industry, and I've learnt that you get what you pay for. So I think I did the right thing in paying abit of money for these feather pads. I love them so much, you can unpin them and pin them to any garment. They cost quite abit though... for feather pads. I purchased them for $80 from Ebay, but they were a very rare item so I happily payed for it (and then ate tin food for a week)
But still no regret! They instantly change the look of my jacket. I've also tried them on an array of simple t-shirts and my blazers. They stand out so much!
It helps me justify buying plenty of dirt cheap t-shirts and singlets on my small budget so I can customise them with these feathers. If its unique and not many people have this look, I mean, why not?

I took this photo on purpose in front of a truck labelled "budget" (Get it, get it?)

All the leaves are brown

Tuesday, May 10, 2011

What I wore today: Into Fashions Knit, Fresh Soul Blouse, Cheap Monday Jeans, Forever 21 wedges, Chanel Sunglasses, Forever 21 necklace

My red and beige knit was a gift from the direct supplier (yay to free clothes!!). Comes in handy for this pretty Autumn Day. Look at the sweet pile of leaves at my feet, makes me want to kick up the leaves and scoop it up in piles to feel the crunch in my hands.... :)
